One thing I love about interviewing Kevin O'Leary is that he always has great advice to share. Here's a bonus one for #FinancialGrownup fans:
"When I was a teenager I worked at the counter of an ice cream shop. I loved the job until one day my boss asked me to drop the ice cream scoop to scrape off some chewed bubble gum of the floor. "That's not my job," I retorted. I was promptly fired. When I went home that day I told my stepfather George in tears that I'd never work for somebody else again. George grabbed my shoulder and explained to me that regardless of what your job title is, you will ALWAYS be working for somebody else. Even if you own your own company, as I do now, your first role above anything else will be to serve your customers. If it weren't for this lesson, I'd never be where I am today.
As early readers know already, the story Kevin shares in "How to Be A Financial Grownup" reveals a whole new side of the Role Model.
